๐Ÿฅญ Mango – Nutritious but Not for Everyone

We all know mangoes are packed with goodness – they're rich in vitamins (like A, C, E, B6, and folate), minerals (such as potassium and magnesium), digestive enzymes, and plenty of fiber. All that makes them great for immunity, skin, digestion, and heart health. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿงก

But – despite all these benefits, mangoes aren't suitable for everyone. Here's who should be cautious or avoid them:

๐Ÿšซ People who should limit or avoid mangoes:

  • Those with diabetes or blood sugar concerns – about 22–25g of natural sugar per cup. Pair with protein/fat or choose less ripe fruit. Avoid juice.

  • People with latex allergy – cross-reactivity can cause itching, swelling, or severe reactions.

  • Those with IBS, fructose intolerance, or sensitive digestion – fiber and fermentable carbs may trigger gas, bloating, or diarrhea.

  • People prone to skin allergies – mango skin/sap contains urushiol (like poison ivy), which can cause rashes. Some may also get acne or heat-related symptoms.

  • Anyone with active diarrhea or weak digestion – excess mango can worsen symptoms.

  • People on low-sugar or low-carb diets – due to natural sugar content.
