Visiting Valentino fashion exhibition at M7 in Doha

Prices gradually down as the large crowds left Doha.

I was pleased to read in the daily paper that the Valentino fashion exhibition is free for residents and only 100 riyal for tourists, but I couldn't find any specific information on the Qatar Museums page .

So it was a nice surprise to us to enter by simply walking in and meeting a very welcoming staff and learning that it is totally free for residents and no prior registration is required.

It was my first visit to M7 and its surroundings. We used the tram, which is likewise free of charge.

The exhibition was a fantastic look back at Valentino's career, which began in the 1960s and ended in 2008, the year he officially retired. The master is 90 years old now.

"  There is guts in red - deep ,strong , dramatic "

...The first room is exclusively dedicated to red, which is the most significant aspect of this brand, even though this motto is at the end.

We saw garments and accessories in a variety of colors and styles. Nostalgic designs, pop art, vibrant techno colors... very pink, yellow, and brown. Photos of celebrities wearing Valentino's masterpieces were on exhibit. Finally, we arrived at a cinema theater whe,re we could watch his final official fashion show.

Postcards were ten riyal each at the souvenir shop. That was the most affordable option.
T-shirts cost QAR 1200 and hot pink hoodies were QAR 4000. After all, these are collectibles that may be a smart investment. T-shirts for QAR1200 are extremely inexpensive when compared to T-shirts sold at FIFA fan shops, where T-shirts signed by prominent football players sold for QAR6500 = USD1700.

Happy New Year to All -

.
The day was pretty peaceful here. It was a day of work and school for one of my children.
It seemed odd that, as far as I could recall, New Year's Day was always a school holiday here.

It is tough to understand why not this year.

Many relatives could not arrive until after the FIFA World Cup, and many children would have appreciated more time with these guests.

This was the case for our family, at least .

I hope   I could   provide my readers  some  interesting or useful  information   during 2022 .
