Crime and punishment in Qatar - the motorist that crashed into a shop

The accident caused the death of one person ! Another one was seriously injured !
 The driver mixed up the pedals and pushed the accelerator instead of the brake .

 He has to pay 10 000 QR ( 2700 usd )  fine .

He has to pay blood money for the victims family ! 200 thousand QR (54919.46 )

 And his driving licence is suspended for one single month !

500 ,000 qatari rial fine (137326.93 USD ) and life imprisonment was the sentence of the expat resident of Qatar who was trading in illicit drugs .He was caught as he tried to enter Qatar at Abu Samra border .
And now comes the absurd part of the sentence
:"Criminal Court also ordered his subsequent deportation after
serving the prison term"
He got life imprisonment ...

Insulting Messages -6 months jail

There was an Arab woman who rented a flat somewhere  in Qatar . The man who let her the room asked her a day to leave . Then for revenge  this woman started to send him insulting messages on WhatsApp . The man made a complaint at the police  and the investigation found her  guilty.
  She has to pay for what she had made .Six months jail  and 20 .000 rial  fine .

 I still wonder how someone can be so stupid to use the electric devices for such purposes  . One can be easily tracked down . I thought that every little child knows that .
On the other hand  this case illustrates how  important is to find a good affordable accommodation in this city  and how difficult it is !
