Telecommunication is great. It has improved the lives of humans incredibly over the last century. But it is truly addictive.
Talking on phones while driving, walking, or riding a bike… it is a major distraction.
Last week in Hungary, a promising life was lost. F.R., a highly popular university student, happened to cross the railway tracks while chatting on her phone. She did not notice the train coming. Her promising life was lost, and the whole country was in shock.
I would not bring this tragedy here if it were just a Hungarian thing. But it is a global issue.
So I am shouting loudly, begging you: when crossing a road or railway, do not use your mobile!
