Palestine at the Paris 2024 Olympics

_____________________________

Palestine will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics, marking its fourth appearance since its debut in 1996. Palestinian athletes have competed in sports such as athletics, judo, and swimming. Their participation often faces challenges due to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, affecting training and travel. Limited resources and infrastructure also impact their preparation. Despite these difficulties, Palestine aims to showcase its athletes and improve performance in Paris 2024. Specific competitors and their events will be confirmed closer to the Games, reflecting ongoing efforts to gain international recognition and support.

IKEA and Middle East Peace Process

Out of 193 states in the world, 138 recognise Palestine. But until yesterday, this included only three EU member states: Poland, Hungary and Slovakia - now a new EU member stepped into the club  :Sweden .

Lieberman, Israel's foreign minister :

"Sweden must understand that relations in the Middle East are much more complicated than self-assembly furniture at Ikea."

Sweden's Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom

"I will be happy to send Israeli FM Lieberman an Ikea flat pack to assemble. He'll see it requires a partner, co-operation and a good manual"

Antique Coin from Palestine -1927

"For anyone who wants a simple proof that Palestine existed before 1948, here’s a coin from 1927 worth 10 Mils (this currency is no longer used). Also note that the word “Palestine” is written in both Arabic and Hebrew indicating not only a Jewish presence, but a prominent one. Jews and Arabs DID live side by side in peace. The Zionist idea that they cannot coexist is an absolute fallacy." -Sarah Aly

OBAMA WAS SILENT

“Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people.” HE TOLD SO 2 YEARS AGO

WHY DID NOT HE REPEAT THESE WORDS WHILE GAZA KIDS WERE MASSACRED ?

( I will delete all my pro obama designs )

My Dear Friends !

I would like to tell you about our sunny days in Doha . I would like to describe how beautiful the weather is - how wonderfully our kids were playing in the park - how great was our weekend when I felt strongly yes I felt our wealth are the kids and the joyful moments we can give them . I would like to tell you all the joy of the springlike weather - but still I am haunted by the images of child victims in Gaza .
That little girl whose face was red totally by the blood .She looked like my little daughter - wearing jeans and pink tee .Just she was dead . And the others - the babies , the teens ...
And there are things that you can not describe , no picture can show you how much these little ones had suffered by the fear and those who are alive still suffering !It is not over .Jews , Buddhist ,Christian ,atheist spoke up against the war on Gaza .But it goes on .
What 's for ? It is not even clear !

It's a beautiful day here in Doha . It is around 20 C degree - no wind .Around noon time the park it's full of families , tourists , members of a sport club are taking photographs by the sea
Is it a beautiful time in Gaza as well ? I ask myself . A young men watching sadly in front of himself .
Does he have someone special in Gaza ?
My child is brooding .One of her classmates did not come back from winter holiday .From Gaza .

I read somewhere that the Israeli support this war mainly because they feel very bad over their failure in Lebanon 2 years ago .

Let's see if there is anything to feel all right now : children walking home from school are attacked the very first day of the war , residential areas are being bombed , hundreds of children smashed ,dismembered or bleeding to death .Bombed areas blockaded by the Israeli army for the ambulance can not reach them . Children who survived are crying themselves to death next to their dead parents because nowhere any help .

Snipers ,phosphorus bomb ,depleted uranium ...

Are they feeling really better now ?
Are they sane ?

The Emir of Qatar made a speech live on Al-Jazeera channel the other day . He called the Israeli aggression a war crime .
The present Palestinian government was elected by democratic way by the people of Gaza .
Israel has been punishing the people of Gaza for their choice by blockading food and medicine .And now the war .
The end of the war and the whole crisis should be based on justice .

Will his efforts bring any results ? That is the main question nowadays .

Article with original ideas on Israel and USA .It compares how the US got the lands of the natives and how Israel is doing so .

"war is so passe "

Middle East columnist
Thoughts of a senior Arab citizen :Last week all the Arabs were laughing at Bush and the shoes thrown into his face ! This week they punish the Arabs by bombing Gaza .

BLURB OF MY FIVE YEAR OLD :

Why are these children bleeding ,MUM ?
What does it mean "bomb "?
Are they going to drop their bombs on us as well ?
Why do not they put the evil-doers into prison ?
