🔥 A Historic Debut! Qatar made its mark at the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China (Feb 7-14, 2025), competing in curling 🥌, short-track speed skating ⛸️, ski mountaineering ⛰️, and snowboarding 🏂.
🚀 Opening Ceremony Highlights
Mohammed Alnaimi & Sara Al-Qaet proudly carried 🇶🇦’s flag during the grand event.
🥌 Curling: A Family Affair
- The women’s team included two sister duos: Fatima & Aldana Al-Fahad and Amna & Sara Al-Qaet
- Their father, Ahmed Saad Al-Fahad, played in the men’s team, making history together!
⛸️ Speed & Skill on Ice!
- Mohammed Al-Abdulla competed in 500m, 1000m & 1500m short-track speed skating
- Khalifa Elmagarmid showcased endurance in ski mountaineering
- Mohammad Khalid Al Kuwari tackled the snowboarding slopestyle event
💪 No Medals, But a Proud Step Forward!
Though no podium finishes 🏆, Qatar’s first winter sports team gained invaluable experience, paving the way for future success!
