33rd Summer Olympic Games & Qatari delegation

 Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games “Paris 2024” at Trocadero Square in Paris. He watched the participating sports delegations, including Qatar's, crossing the Seine River by boat. The Qatari delegation includes 14 athletes across five sports: athletics, volleyball, shooting, weightlifting, and swimming.

Also present were Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Qatar Foundation.

So the Arab Games started ... be prepared some security forces may hold  the traffic up  to make way for the VIP convoys ...
In spite of the tension in the area it seemed to me that every Arab nation sent his/her sport men/women to the Games .I was surprised to see that even people in wheelchairs arrived to participate ...Also it was a surprise that Somalia and Comoros Island is also considered as Arab country .. I have always believed that those countries are non -Arabs .

The Opening ceremony was spectacular at least on TV ....My best wishes to the competitors and organizers ..
