Döner & Koshari: My Impressions at the Food Festival 2025

 It was nice to be outside… to blend into the crowd, browse the offerings, be shocked by the prices, and wonder how people are willing to wait in line for an hour in front of an Egyptian restaurant just for Koshari.




Tasting a bit of this and that, marveling at the fact that the döner I bought was a masterpiece from a Scottish restaurant... That eateries come from such distant places to promote themselves here. There were even London-based Palestinian  , Swiss restaurants making their debut at this festival in Doha.



It was good that we went early— as the evening progressed, the crowd kept growing, and that's when I always feel the urge to escape.
