Cupping therapy in Qatar - by Umm Slal Health Center

As part of a pilot phase, Umm Slal Health Center now offers this ancient practice to enhance patient health, expedite recovery, and prioritize patient safety.

Patients who can participate in this program are those who have been diagnosed with chronic headaches of unknown causes, refractory migraines, carpal tunnel syndrome without the need for surgery, muscle imbalances and postural dysfunction, refractory muscle spasms, neck and upper or lower back pain, and chronic diseases such as eczema and asthma, as well as skin diseases like acne.

Cupping therapy is generally safe, but it's important to keep in mind that it may not be suitable for everyone. According to PHCC, pregnant women and patients with certain conditions such as acute hepatitis, tuberculosis, heart disease, arrhythmia, pacemaker implantation, blood clotting diseases like hereditary hemorrhagic disease, use of anticoagulants, severe anemia, and kidney failure should avoid this type of therapy.
