80 more garbage trucks

Doha's population increased suddenly in the last 12 years .Its garbage collecting system failed to follow the population growth . I see bins in the street with too much garbage around -simple  the number of bins  is not enough .Now 80 more vehicles will collect the garbage and it is great !

Yesterday we found ourselves in a Syrian pastry shop - coming home from Ikea .Everything looked so delicious - but  they sold only in bulk -  a tray of cookies - finally we decided to buy  three large bars of chocolate --but the Syrian shop assistant / owner ? did not allow us to pay . He was just smiling under his mustache: "gift"  he said . To refuse them would have been impolite .. . but his generosity   really embarrassed us .3 large bars of chocolate !

Such things do not happen to us often in Qatar .

It was years ago that we went to a Syrian restaurant  - there we had  bad experience at their buffet -actually they did not refill the buffet trays and we went home hungry .
